Nice to meet you!
Review my Resume
My name is Rachelle Naomi Beswick - As an adventurer at heart, I have experienced firsthand, many benefits (and consequences!) by taking risks.
I’m urban Anishnabeg, grounded in traditional teachings, a member of Kitigan Zibi, born in Toronto with settler roots. I’ve spent most of my life based in the GTA, and travel frequently across Canada to connect, learn, serve, and empower in the spirit of community.
I encourage and support taking calculated risks and making informed decisions. I lead with curiosity, seeking to learn and understand. My broad worldview, ability to connect opposing parties and to illustrate diverse concepts are why I was given the name “Reaches the Sky Woman”. I honour my responsibility to use these gifts (hard earned) for the greater good.
I’m passionate about developing connections to build and support healthy, sustainable communities globally. We are more connected and yet more divided than ever before. It’s important for all of us to come together in a good way for the betterment and sustainability of future generations to come.
I’ve helped many parties and organizations by supporting difficult conversations to reduce distracting, inaccurate presumptions to form trusted alliances, close deals, finish projects and effectively solve problems. I continue to enjoy engaging, advising, and consulting in a variety of areas – predominantly insurance, risk management, emergency management, social responsibility, health and safety and Indigenous relations. I’m also active in the arts community and love the outdoors, learning on the land.
Challenges are opportunities to grow and innovate and easier to overcome together by strategically sharing knowledge and resources to close gaps and capitalize on individual strengths. I hold immeasurable gratitude for the wisdom shared by countless courageous leaders, mentors and elders that continues to light our way forward.
I’m open to diverse opportunities to learn, mutually support and connect regardless of the industry and size of your organization or where you are in your career if there is shared capacity and alignment – reach out. You miss every shot you don’t take!
